Dubsport Mk2 16v
Considering selling the Mk2 16v, and putting the 2.1 into a Mk3 Group N rally car.
Bit of info from the thread :-
It was originally owned by Jeff Web (dubsport, awesome gti, pipewerx) so it was already modified, the spec is as follows-
twin 40 weber carbs
Ported inlet manifold
Dubsport gas flowed head with new lightweight lifters, valve guides, valve cuts, ABF cams
Ashley 4 branch manifold (heat wrapped)
Neuspeed ARB's
Neuspeed windage tray
280mm G60 brake set up - Drilled Discs and EBC RedStuff Pads
Goodbridge Braided Brake hoses
AP coilovers
Scorpion SS 2 box system
rebuilt close ratio 2y 16v gearbox
Seam welded front wishbones & subframe
fully poly bushed suspension
front lower, rear upper OMP strut brace
Perspex Windows all round
aTECH FIA approved drivers seat
The overall condition of it was pretty good it, goes like stink and looks the part. Could do with a tidy up if your after the good looks, but will make a perfect track car or funky daily.
Come for a test drive if you want to try it out, you wont be dissapointed! It will put any lard-ass VRSLOW to shame!
Stacks of receipts and service history from Awesome GTI ( for parts and previous work)
Would like £1500 for it, what I paid, plus more for reconditioning the head. Its up on pistonheads and other forums for this much.
Will sell to you guys for a £1000 offers, but buyer must supply their own wheels, these bitches are going onto the mk3
Would make a great donor for another mk2 street spec car, or a cracking stripped out track day car!
Tax until Dec12, MOT until June. You wont be dissapointed. Only reason for selling is to move over to fuel injection and street spec for Group N entrances.
