Hi mate,
1st, Remove your headlights
2nd, Remove the bulbs etc from the headlights.
3rd, Put Tin foil over the back of the headlight where the bulbs would go.
4th, Put the headlight in the oven at arround 100mark.
5th, watch the headlight and keep removing it to see if the adhesive from around the glass has melted.
6th, Once you have removed the glass lense. Mask all the area you dont wana spray.
7th, Remove the adhesive/Glue
8th, Spray the colour of your choice
9th, Reassemble your headlight and use some new silicon(or something similar) to seal the glass shut to the back of the headlight.
10th, Make sure there is no missing gaps to let water in and then refit the bulbs and refit it to your car
So 10 Easy steps to Tint your headlights.
I think i have 2 photos of mine seperated on my build thread that has been linked.
Hope this has helped

Masking tape won't peel the mirror reflector off the lens will it? So you used like black gloss paint then?

Re: DERATTING MY VALVER! vw polo 16v content :)
Yeh Gloss black spray paint from a rattle can.
Depends on the strength of masking tape. I Used some cold/slightly damp masking tape which wasn't very sticky on mine. But i also done it to my brothers VR6 and i used 3M masking tape which was a bad idea as it is very strong.
So just use a week masking tape or better yet some Realise tape which is used in the Vinyl Business. Try the tape you get on an area you know you will be spraying over to check that it doesn't peal

Re: DERATTING MY VALVER! vw polo 16v content :)
Hi folks,
Well i was going to update this once i had a few of my other mods done but i have had to put them on hold atm.
So heres a little update on things
Well first thing to sort where they awful tailpipes, some might like them but on my car and the way they sat i never.
So before
then out with the grinder and a little bit of paint
After
Because of the exhaust bracket being made to sit the tailpipes bellow the bumper, its a bit of a problem with my Ride height. So thats on the to do list to sort out to tuck up further
Then came my new wing as the old one had a large dent in it which i pushed out for the time being.
Also seen as i had the bumper off i fitted my new GTI splitter
before
after
and the wing and splitter fitted. (the wing still dirty from sitting in my garage)
also generally moving my car took time lol (only a tinny bit of snow)
Then picked these up
the car then needed a wash because of the getting stuck issue
Had a look the other day and thought the cars changed quit a bit over the past 7 months lol.
from this
to this
So thats it for the moment. I do have other plans underway but will update when they are done
thanks for looking
