lupo tdi dieing :(

right i was driving thriugh bontnewydd and the lupo jused died.
as i turned the key the engine turnes but theres no fuel pump noise. after a few goes the fuel pump worked again..

drove the car no problems for 2 days and everything was fine. jumped into it today after work and the same problem again, no fuel pump noise, after alot of head scratching and engine/pump fiddling/ fuce cheking i decided there was fuck all wrong there.
i gave the bottom of the dash a healthy thump and the fule pump noise returned and she rund good again.

i personally think its a faulty/dodggy conection with a fuel relay. any ideas if it could be anything els or the number for the relay?

i had a look at this after posting it...... loose ecu conection:S dosent look like that tbh

so i was right with my relay ill have a look behind the fuse box tomorrow see what its like

take the plastic off the relay, so that the connections are visible. You will see where it makes contact, look for signs or arking. Keep the cover off, so if it does it again you can see if the contact is sticking, if it is release it an see if she starts.

right i had a look at the relay today and every time i put pressure on the relay it came to life and every time i droped it it died :/

so i had a brain wave, cable tie that little shit in
and for the giggle i went to regent garage to get a price for a new one, £50 for a new one relay number 405

so thank fuck for cable ties
