G reg 1.6 driver! first car :)

Hi guys, came on to this forum after being recommended by BenDalton and benmk2!

Bought my first car in January being a 1989 G 1.6 mk2 golf Driver! From a guy a Bangor and the car is an ex-demonstration car from Rhos-County garage..

At the moment i'm stuck between getting wheels or suspension? I think the suspension more though...Then after one of those gets done I'm dropping a GTI cam in with a GTI full exhaust system and RubJonny on the mk2oc said that the 1.8 carb back box will fit on the GTI exhaust so I can keep it unoticable and then fit kJet dizzy and k&n filter.. That'll be the only engine work but that'll be far from now to getting done haha

thats all they really need then cosmetic.... scratches etc polished out if possible.....

all the guys from mk2OC said never go too low? but somone mentioned putting a gti cam in i'll wait to see how yours comes out

yeahh I need to do the same to mine...shampoo, wax, polish, clay etc..

haha...I take it he's going to all types aswell?
yeah, I wouldn't go sump scraping just keep it sitting nicely above the tires are you camping at all types? or going down on the day?

yeah going down saturday have a few drinks etc.... BBQ
gotta set of 15" BBS RA's going on, trying to keep things OEM+ then a cheap coilover kit.... see how it goes.....

Haha thanks guys! The driver door lets it down a little bit (it was originaly red and it's chipped in the corners)

Hmmm, I was thinking of camping over Saturday but I only live 10minutes away.......But then the few drinks and BBQ tempts me hahaa!
