Golf Mk4 v5 or the v6 4-motion ?

Thinking of getting one, not sure which ? any ideas or info on either to help me make my mind up ?

4 motion!!!! That V6 Noiiiisse Then again i wouldn't say no to a V5 either. quite a tough one owain, but i think id go for a V6 man

yeah i been thinkin v6 power, but i dont fancy having to replace 4 tyres in one go lol. mind you ceri will be driving it more than me

for noise go for the V6, 4 performance go 1.8T, u dnt hear of many V5's, dunno wot there like m8, dnt think there a lot of power for the size of the engine to be honest, 2.3 V5 and what are they 170bhp!!

yeah the early v5 has 150, then later ones had 170. the v6 is just over 200

im sure the V6 came with more goodies as standard??? I dont rate the V5 much, they sound decent but dont have much guts in them unless u strap on a turbo, like volvo did with their T5's!

But, If ur after power and (abit) more economey, go for a post 2000 Golf Gti turbo, make sure its got an AUM engine code, a simple re-map with no other mods will see it over 200bhp. and they cost alot less than a v6. Daz can tell ya how quick they are!

But, the V6's are rarer, sound better and 4wd.... its a toughie!
