My Nissan Primera 2.0 SLX saloon
specs y0
Nissan Primera p10
SR20 powaz 128bhp (2.0 16v twin cam)
Red saloon
P10 ARMY!
2006
Due to a complicated (we thought so at the time) problem with one of the headlights not working, it was SORN'd. It was parked up without anything happening to it for 8 months. I remembered the good memories of this car, looked at the mould around the windows and said, time to step in and save the old girl (i'd just finished a white Granada 2.3 project, at the age of 15 lmao)
2007
rusty boot lid
At this point, the car was no longer mouldy, but due to my lack of driving ability, I could not move the car resulting in seized up brake system... this was not sorted until late 2008.
2008
Boot lid, wing mirror covers and grille got re-sprayed. It was only the first few days where there was an obvious difference between the new and the old paint. Soon faded though!
managed to get the back brakes free and replaced, the fronts didn't lock up thankfully
Next thing, I discovered something called CLAY BAR and TECH WAX - resulting in a sexy as fook shine.
current state of the car
full of swirl marks, matt bumpers, I was learning, lol.
then took some arty farty droplet shots
then when the boot was fitted, and the cover was removed we found this had happened
then a slightly modifed grille arrived...
2009
first drive out in 3 years now!
more polishing
then got a new phone, so pictures showed the car looking pink, but it was looking a bit better now
then polished it some more, and after a lot of "it looks pink" comments I decided to switch on my old phone to get the real colour back on screen
mid-polishing the pink matty bump strips
uh oh...
then i met Graham, the one in the red one, who lives in Hollyhead. 186bhp, one of the fastest NA P11's in the UK when it was at its prime, he doesn't own it any more.
I loved that car sooooooooooo much, IMO there isn't a better "all-rounder" primera out there.
MOT time
£400 worth of work later she was on the road. On the first journey out... she ran out of battery power right outside halfords, the could not have broken down in a more convinient spot LOL
Then my friend Jimmy came over to see the car now it was on the road, then we went for a drive to "The Ford" by Bangor
few days after that, the alternator caught fire.
fixed + a new battery fuse (which is why it broke down outside halfords) and the car didn't loose charge after a week now
then I discovered a new product, chip stick and I got a bit anal with it LOL
then some more claying
then a short lived eGT interior
then got told to remove it, because it was a waste of money and it was "tacky plastic shit" - so i sold it for £80, and then bought two drive shafts for £250 that shut the parents up lol.

Re: My Nissan Primera 2.0 SLX saloon
Clay Bar's made a hell of a difference man, interiors sweet aswell. some lows and a set of Rota Grid's would look sick on it
Re: My Nissan Primera 2.0 SLX saloon
After JAE 2009
got bored
then did a photochop XD
getting cleaner now
2010
bad start to the year
but then Jimmy and Ross came down
lows and wheels comparison lol
then found an inspirational photo!!!! <3
Then the last time I had a spin in Grahams Primera.
SLX stickers
Getting cleaner
then spent a stupid amount of money and won an auction on the 1st in the Uk JDM heated power folding mirrors and first one to ever come across the small spoilers/ lips on the wing mirros. They are a genuine Nissan option though, just very very rare ha
then decided to go all out on cleaning the car and cleaned the door sections too
The last photo of the bumper, it looked clean from above, but when you crouched down the bumper was matt, so a good 10 goes with resin polish... LOL... it was mint. that was the first seshion I spent a good few hours on the car, think it was 7 hours all in all.
then this
to this, thanks to Allan Buses in Mona Industrial estate
then with rust removal in mind, I took off the front mud guards, first thoughts were... ooo... nissan put lots of underseal under here... and then poking it it turned out it was mud and stuff haha
then
I plan on filling the rear window out more with stickers, kinda what Craig has on his Bora
then made a start on cleaning the engine bay
bootlid before (no laquer)
bootlid after
then got Cusco Top links, -10mm smaller than the OEM ones, so a bit of camber! But sadly due to needing some reddies i had to sell them on.
then probably the proudest moment so far
then some more chip sticking lol
trial fitted a P1 grille
new driveshafts fitted - they're a common failure on P10s thankfully I changed them before they went.
then went to Japfest 2
my hair cut was all wrong, i was tired but i had a pimp moment, s'all good ha
then put an SLX sticker on one of my blank cluster surround, you only get SRi and GT ones normally. The car now has eGT clocks, but doesnt say GT, that would be criminal
then instead of taking photos of other peoples cars, I actually got a chance to take mine on a photoshoot
SWIRL MARK FREE!!!!!!!!!! yaya B) meguiars ultimate compound, managing to save 134k 18yr old paint FTW
got bored
I <3 Prim
debadged front grille
then rainguards
and an idea im playing with
then new wheels bought for the tyres
thats it up to now it's not mad, low but I think it's a respectable car for a Primera, it's almost rust free now and coming up with a decent sound system for it. Once the sideskirts, rainguards etc are on, and i've ordered my BC coilovers then i'll be happy with the look. Power wise, for a first car is it fast enough but looking for some perfomance cams for a rough idle like this

Sorry for the long post guys, but thought id show you all whats gone down with the car since ive owned it It was a one owner car before i got it, and thankfully I am very good friends with the original owner (he's my mums ex, but im still very close to him )

Re: My Nissan Primera 2.0 SLX saloon
Just found that there is a custom exhaust fabricator in Llangefni, owned by one of my friends pappa.
Told him, if he can do 2.25" mandrel bent system with a dual exit (one backbox either side of rear bumper) then I will get the car up there for a quote.
He is able to do it, so will be going there soonies for a quote, thought I'd have to do a bit of travelling but from Ty Hen to Pencraig way what 5 minute drive ideal ian beal.
erm this drawing was done years ago, but plans have not changed so want something like this
won't be done soon, but hoping to do it by the end of next month

Re: My Nissan Primera 2.0 SLX saloon
update timezzz
getting this car on the road next coupl'a weeks so fitting little bits to it!!
Leather interior not in the best of condition but will do for now, was trying to find the heated seat plugs so had the front of the interior in bits
Then wanted to fit a GT spoiler onto it, but turns out the fittings are slightly different... but took a photo whilst the car was spoiler-less!
Selling the spare engine I have and getting a JWT S3 exhaust cam and an S4 intake cam! few more horsies and a man idle
also I get EMA from college, so what I get from that will be saved for coilovers!
